LAS VEGAS OVER-RUN BY ZOMBIES!!! (What else is new?)
Since our last newsletter, The Savage Soul: Scorched Earth has really taken shape. Despite our initial plan to set
the game in Southern Florida, we have now decided our initial game setting will be the ruins of Las Vegas, Nevada.
This "sexy" desert location, full of world-famous landmarks, should instantly establish the "Scorched Earth"
flavor and create a more enjoyable gaming experience.
We also plan to make the content and story of The Savage Soul: Scorched Earth almost entirely dynamic.
Adventurous players will constantly face new surprises, dangers, and challenges, and their actions will
reshape the world on a daily basis. Camp-kill-repeat will not be on the menu, and accomplishing goals will
be far more important than killing things. If you're an intelligent gamer, who loves a challenge, and despises
monotony, The Savage Soul: Scorched Earth is for you.
Recent Developments
Development is currently working on the artist tools and is
close to the first release on them. This means there will be many more screen shots soon!
We have also hammered out the bulk of our terrain design system, and plan to begin working on
characters.
A new alpha server has been purchased! As a result, in the very near future, we will run
some exciting tests, stressing our newest game systems and designs.
Down to Business
Over the past several months Shelter 7, LLC has taken steps to
become even more "business-like." The company now has a logo, business cards, and official Stationery.
So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
We are also pleased to announce that Shelter 7, LLC is still
"in the black," due mostly to our excellent purchasing policies. This is not to say we aren't
spending money. We just aren't wasting it! Among our most recent purchases are a new server
(mentioned above) and more bandwidth, both of which should provide for smoother alpha testing.
Finally, over the next few months, Shelter 7, LLC plans to
begin limited marketing of "The Savage Soul: Scorched Earth".
We hope to generate some early "buzz" and start getting people excited about this revolutionary
MMORPG.
